On November 21,2024, a school-wide assembly proudly showcased the newly signed Proclamation of Adoption Partnership between Lakehurst Elementary School and the Naval Support Activity (NSA) Lakehurst. Through the Adopt-A-School Program, the partnership aims to foster a positive relationship between the Navy, local schools and the community. The program promotes education and the understanding of military life, as well as supporting the intellectual, emotional and parental involvement in education. Captain James B. Howell and Superintendent Loren Fuhring signed the proclamation during the assembly with the support of other (NSA) Lakehurst members.
