First graders in Mrs. Cherie Menchini and Ms. Laurel Wong’s classes had a fun and tasty way to celebrate their How-To paragraph writing! After learning how to write steps in order, students showed what they learned during a special Pizza Day celebration. The cafeteria was decorated with red and white checkered tablecloths, just like a real pizzeria. Students and their families worked together to make their own pizzas.Everyone got to choose their favorite toppings, including cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple. Smiles filled the room as students followed steps just like in their writing to create delicious pizzas. It was a wonderful way to bring writing, family,and fun together!
