Lakehurst Elementary School proudly hosted its annual STEAM Parade, celebrating student creativity and hands-on learning. This year’s event was inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet, which tells the story behind the famous parade balloons that float each year in New York City. Each class selected its own unique theme based on the book’s ideas and illustrations. Students worked to design and build their very own balloon-inspired STEAM projects, showcasing a blend of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Some families contributed with at home projects to enhance the parade.
